A pesar de haber escrito más de cien libros entre obras de ficción y de no-ficción, la labor de '''Ben Bova''' está más relacionada con su trabajo como editor y presidente de la SFWA.

En 1974 escribió el guión para un episodio de la serie de [[La televisión en la ciencia ficción|televisión]] ''Land of the Lost''. Fue también asesor científico para la serie ''The Sterlost'', puesto que abandonó con disgusto tras ver la emisión del primer episodio.
